Usually I'm a fan of the morbid items Stardoll hosts, but I'm not too impressed of this item. It's still beautiful though. This little couch was created by the artist Von Erickson. Rumour has it that the couches are actually made with real caskets. Unfortunately, I cannot find the link where you can buy this piece in real life. Please let me know when you do!!!

Halloween Goodies
My sincere apologies for being so late to write an article. I've been so busy with homework, generally the school and I rarely log in Stardoll these days. I promise though to try and write more articles in the next months.
To start with, since Halloween is coming I thought I should share some of the things I found so you can achieve the spookiest and creepiest atmosphere.
One idea would be to decorate the inside of your house ( if you have the proper time to get down to it of course) by taking some small twigs putting them into a pumpkin and then draw on a paper some bats and then cut them. You could take some canldes, draw on a paper some Halloween sketches and then glue them on the candles. Like that:
Another idea would be to draw some bats on paper again, cut them in different shapes and sizes and then glue them around your front door. Spooky atmosphere! And since Halloween is in autumn is easy to find some not so alive plants and put them around your porch or generally at the entrance of your house. Like that:
Furthermore I would like to give you something to try out for yourself. Painting your nails like they are covered in blood. I don't know whether I ahve given that out before but every Halloween I do it. It's the perfect idea in my opinion and it's very easy to do. Plus since we don't celebrate Halloween in Greece painting my nails like blood is the least I can do, right?
I'm not done yet. Halloween without spooky food is not Halloween (I just made that up).
So here's the spookiest recipes I found online.
Brain cupcakes.
Monster Toes.
Funny Bones.
Swamp Juice
Cheese Finger Food
Happy Halloween everyone.

Mortal Kiss Zombie
I can't lie, I absolutely love this piece and I got very excited when Stardoll released it. The figurine is a collectible from the hit TV series and comic book, The Walking Dead. You can get this figurine for only $15. {here}!

MSW is approaching.
The worst of the worst is approaching, where you get nothing but a crapload of spam, unwanted attention, and blank friend requests if you won. There is an upside to this though, winning stardollars and SS membership up to a year can't go bad, right? If you want to win that badly, here's a few tips.
- Create suites that is different from everyone else. I mean create stuff out of simple objects. Ruth-Sechmet is often known for her suites like that.
- Create one-of-a-kind medolls. Not the ones you see the elites wearing, but the ones who makes masks out of the Sunny Bunny contacts.
- Don't spam or ask for votes. People get very irritated with that and not to mention, those people are most likely running for MSW also. Instead, visit people's suites, be active in clubs, and save your medoll in your album a whole bunch of times.
- Have an interesting presentation. Tell us a bit about yourself and your personality instead of posting "Hi, I'm Ellie and I like Slipknot, don't repost this and you'll have a ghost visiting your room...."
I hope this helps you in the near future. Good luck. :D

How to customise leather jackets
Leather jackets are essential to a punk style or maybe a gothic style. Either way leather jackets are important an they add a nice touch to an outfit.
Rather than (or as well as) fully painting your jacket you can customise it with detailed designs. If you are artistically gifted, great - let your imagination run wild and set to work creating a wearable work of art. If you are, err... not so much gifted as enthusiastic, there are simpler ways to customise leather jackets than by freehand artistry. For instance:
*Band names and lyrics can be scrawled on the back or all over.
*Graffiti can be copied
*As well as tattoos
To hand paint a stencil, you can simply tape your stencil design into place on the leather jacket and carefully paint into it - it helps if the stencil's on a thick bit of cardboard and if the stencil design itself has clean, defined edges.
Here's a handy alternate method for transferring stencils from paper to jacket:
You don't have any ideas for stencils?
And if you are artistic and you can copy stencils you could use these:
And last but not least SPIKES!
You will all agree that spiked jackets are the best! Well, now you can transform your regular leather jacket into a spiked one!
That's the way:
Hope you find them helpful!

Steampunk Fashion DIY Tips
Well, I thought that writing only about Stardoll is tiring so I thought I could provide you with some tips that you could use in real life and that would help you achieve a Steampunk look.
And if you fancy hats then you can always experiment on them too by adding lace, feathers or ribbons.
Big Victorian hats are astonishing if you have the guts to weat them in public. If you don't then you can also wear mini-hats. The ones that look like little plates or tea cups on yur head.
- Simply adding lace to the edge of a collar is one of the easiest ways to add class to something.
- Changing out the buttons for more interesting ones ( brass buttons for example) is an easy task too.
- For a more distressed look you may experiment with burning fabric (caution though) or rubbing tea or coffee grounds into fabric. That way the fabric will get a gritty, Steampunk feel.
- If you want to have an Emilie-Autumn look you can take any sharp item (anything!) and rip away. Tattered skirts with petticoats can make you look like Emilie Autumn.
- clean old keys and cogs and use them as necklaces.
- shred/burn/rub with coffee or tea scarves. They can be tied in the style of an ascot or around your waist as a belt.
- Little apothecary bottles are perfect. You can put dead moths, feathers, spider webs, little love notes or glitter.

Updates!
I know it's been ages since the last post but I had some problems with my computer and I couldn't open any windows. Anyway, during the time I was gone a lot of things on Stardoll.
First of all we got this new update that gives us the advantage to paint not only our hands' nails but also to decorate and paint our feet's nails too. Pretty ridiculous to even bother post a photo.
Also, long time ago a new shop was released, called "Film Theory". Myself, I am working on a room inspired by this shop. It has lots of things that are in Starcoins.
Also an "Evening Falls" inspired shop opened with some magnificent clothes. Nontheless the pink is sort of disturbing but still most of the pieces are wearable and will look great in dark outfits!

Since Stardoll is being kind of boring lately I thought I should make post about the stuff Stardoll did release but we never kept up with.
I can say that most of you did buy cats or dogs or wild animals. But nobody seems too excited about it!
Here's how the animals, that you so expensively bought, grew up:
Rather disappointing, in my opinion.
Since summer is here Stardoll found another way to make money by releasing the Villa thing and a shop with stuff to decorate your villa.
Quite boring! The villas are bigger than the usual rooms and they have a coast and a beach as a background.
The Villa:
To end with, I was surprised when I saw that Stardoll gave me 2 extra rooms for free. Did that happen to anyone else?
Bye

Edgar Allan Poe
Since there's nothing new on Stardoll for quite a long I thought it would be nice to make a post about that amazing man. I hope you all know who he is. I'll just remind you the basics.
Edgar Allan Poe was born in 1809 and died at 7th October 1849. He was an American author, poet, editor and literary critic but he is mostly credited for the tales of mystery and macabre he wrote. He is thought to be the inventor of detective-fiction genre. He was orphaned young when his mother died after his father abandoned the family. His publishing career began humbly, with an anonymous collection of poems, Tamerlane and Other Poems (1827). Poe switched his focus to prose and spent the next several years working for literary journals and periodicals. In January 1845 Poe published his poem "The Raven" to instant success. His wife died of tuberculosis two years after his publication. He began planning to produce his own journal, The Penn, though he died before it could be produced. The causes of his death is unknown but it has been variously attributed to alcohol, cholera, heart disease, rabies, suicide, brain congestion and other. However, Poe was never entirely accepted or credited by the Americans. His work has a huge impact on European authors and poets.
You can read all of his tales, poems, critics and articles about his life, here.

Inspired goth make-up 2
Well, this time the make-up I'm about to show you is simple and I think you can add details so it can look more specific and real. Photo:
Make-up:
Maybe you could add more details or make it more dark by changing the colours! I should have changed the eyebrows so she could look more wild. Hope you enjoyed it!

Update-Starcoins
As you've probably noticed there're no stardollars for the non-ss. The nightmare's name is "Starcoins". It's a new system to earn money but it just makes it more difficult because you have to do random tasks and it will take time to get used to something like that.
You can earn 40 starcoins daily and they're supposed to help you buy more items. Well they don't!
You have to:

Interview #1: PinkPunkGirly
Kelly, also known as PinkPunkGirly, is one of Stardoll's most popular dark users. Having a successful blog (AnarchyOnStardoll), an amazing suite and a wicked taste in wardrobe, she's also a sweetheart. :D Or at least in my opinion, haha. We've sat down and gotten to know her a little more. :]
1. First things first, tell us a little bit about yourself. :]
Well, I could try to sound all amazing and super cool.. But I'm not. I'm not a regular girl that's for sure. I have a huge proud on myself, not so proud of the world I'm living in though. Basically, I'm a person who loves the unusual, who listens to a lot of Metal/Punk Rock music and who wastes a lot of time with Photography/Internet.
2. A standard question for all, but how did you come across stardoll, and why did you join this god awful site? XD
Some years ago I noticed 2 colleagues playing Stardoll on Informatics class. I've always loved to express myself, so I tried out the site and instantly loved it! :D
3. Your style is amazing compared to the other people I met online, who inspired you?
First of all, thank you! I really dislike basic or normal looks so I mix a lot of Punk, Gothic, Death Rock and Cyber Gothic components. No specific person inspired me.
4. So how did the idea of Anarchy on Stardoll came about?
I was actually talking with Jolanta (black_mermaid) in her guestbook about how awesome it would be to have a Stardoll site dedicated exclusively to alternative & dark styles/celebrities when Maja (MissVampire) joined the conversation and gave the idea about creating a blog.
5. What is one thing that most people on stardoll would be shocked to know about you in real life?
I guess nothing :D
6. What pisses you off the most?
Animal cruelty. It makes me sick.
7. We've all done stupid stuff as kids, what is your favorite memory?
Any moment with my brother is a good memory.
8. If you had one day to live, what would you do?
Dye my hair green, tattoo and pierce my body and spend the last hours of my life in London.
9. What are your goals for the next 3 years?
Finish school, get some body mods, move to London & live.
10. Are you currently working on any projects?
I'm not.
11. What's your opinion on the world? Life itself?
It may sound cliché, but the world is pretty much damaged thanks to us, humans. I believe we’re the worst creatures that ever stepped on Earth. My opinion of life is to Live and let die, live life as it comes your way, face the fact that we are all individuals and free to make our own choices and just don’t give a **** about other people’s opinions.
12. What would you tell the youngsters out there reading?
To never ever stop being yourself. It's in my opinion one of the most important things in a person.
13. Any last words?
**** your past before it ****s you.
Make sure to stop by her suite and blog and follow. :D

Evening Falls: Steampunk
Okay, so I just logged in, and almost had a fit when I noticed that Stardoll have just put up some Steampunk items. I think that Steampunk is a really under rated fashion, so I was quite surprised to any brass goggles on Stardoll.
A good Steampunk look is achieved through accessories. Wearing brass (or brass-like metal) jewelery, goggles and perhaps even a gas mask over Victorian-style clothing would be a good place to begin. Earthy colours such as brown and beige are used more than black, but black would work just as well.
Most of the items Stardoll are selling are furniture, but there is a pair of goggles, which I would buy, were they not Superstar.

Non ss? No problem #4
We all know that being a non-ss is pretty annoying! That's why I'm going to show you an outfit that is inspired um how could I name it? A depressing musical actress maybe? I made it this morning when I found this for free outfit:
The pink on the left...
Starting your outfit you have to take this outfit for free. Visit: gizlinet.org and type stardoll.com. Log in and then paste this link on the proxy bar www.stardoll.com/en/contest/finish.php?id=1211. The stuff are going to be on a starplaza bag. You wear the pink outfit and you can elaborate and darken your skirt with a balck skirt you have like that:
Now you have to make platforms which are made up of your shoes. It's really helpful if you have a pair of Platform Ankle Boots. You'll find them in Bisou. I used 5-6 pair of shoes to get the wanted height like that:
Last but not least you add your accesories: You add gloves, long if you have, an umbrella which you can find either in Fallen Angel or if you have the free umbrella by Archive. If you want more you can add leggings and the Ruffled Collar in Tingeling. If you have enough money you can buy the Black Veil from the Perfect Day store. An here's your outfit:
To make your outfit look more depressing you have to buy some eyelashes and cover your eye. Also you can either buy the "blue" tears or the "black" ones and put one or two...If you ever been an ss and you happen to have black lipstick add it! If you don't go to face-lips and choose the dark red colour...If you happen to have eyelashes from Sunny Bunny add them too! Finishing you can experiment on making the lips and the eyebrows look like she actually cries...
Good luck!
